The depth of field bugs me a bit though. Feels like the background buildings either need to be in focus or completely out of focus, but the limbo they're in is just a little... unpleasant.
I actually wouldn't have ever noticed the pattern of the barbed wire; I love what other people notice though. Kinda forces a new perspective!
Same with the focus actually; I rarely add extra blur simply because I despise seeing other people over do it. I concur though, I might update this one day (:
I thought (brisbane) was on a beach (I'd never been there before).
Turns out, no beach. (surprise.) I settled for photographing some of the buildings instead (:

Yeah the Brisbane beaches are a fair way out from the city (and in truth, they're not that good). The gold coast or the sunny coast are the places to go for beaches
